Comedian Bovi Comes Under Fire for “Displaying The Nigerian Flag In Bad Light” And Breaking A law With His Outfit At The Headies


Ace comedian, Bovi is facing criticism for his choice of second outfit at the 14th edition of the Headies Awards last night, 21 February, 2021.

His outfit, a picture of the bloodied Nigerian flag on a top has sparked mixed reactions. To some it brought a lot of emotional memories of the massacre at Lekki Toll Gate on 20 October, 2020 where the Nigerian army was seen in live streamed videos shooting unarmed protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos. 

A lot of Nigerians have commended the comedian for making a great statement with his outfit yesterday. 

However, some Nigerians have a different view about this act of solidarity by Bovi

Nigerian actor Bolanle Ninalowo has taken to his social media account to boldly flaunt his newfound romance with colleague Damilola Adegbite. This revelation comes just months after Ninalowo's second time divorce with his wife. The thespian captioned the  video “love don’t cost a thing..” Meanwhile, Adegbite, previously married to Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh in 2015, shed light on her past union, emphasizing that love alone couldn't sustain their marriage hence their divorced in 2017. This is contrary to the speculations that Damilola left her husband because of cheating.  The couple had a son in 2014.
